About Birhanu Arbse

I am Birhanu Arbse, the founder of ARBSE. I am a business practitioner, strategic adviser and author based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. My professional experience includes business management and strategic investment advisory. My advisory work focuses on founders and SMEs, helping them make clearer commercial decisions and build the systems needed to carry them out.

From a business question to a workable decision

A useful advisory engagement starts with a specific decision. It might concern a new venture, a trading opportunity, a pricing question or an operating problem that keeps returning. I work from the business context, the information available and the limits of what has been established.

The intended output is something a business can use: options to compare, assumptions to test, a plan to review or an operating tool with clear responsibilities. The scope, information required, deliverables and fee are agreed before work begins.

Experience connected to execution

My business interests connect strategy with day-to-day operating control: procurement, pricing, inventory, distribution, management systems and business planning. ARBSE brings these questions into one practical conversation about the next decision and the work needed to implement it.

  • Define the decision and the evidence needed to make it.
  • Separate confirmed information from assumptions and unresolved questions.
  • Turn the agreed direction into actions, responsibilities and review points.

Books and knowledge work

Writing is another part of my work. I develop original books and practical knowledge materials alongside my business advisory focus. Books & Digital presents the current catalogue, including two Excel systems available through controlled pilot inquiries. Books that have not been released are labelled in preparation.

Resources includes a worked supplier-quotation guide and the free Invoice & Sales Control Web Lite drafting tool. Each resource states its intended use and current release status.

Discuss your next business decision

Start with the decision you need to make, the situation behind it and the timing. The Advisory page explains the available engagement routes and how a scope is developed.
